The Violin Player and People Seeds analogies (as noted in chapter 7) are famous analogies used by

There are dozens of analogical arguments employed in politics and science (e.g., the classification of new
species often works by analyzing the similarities between two specimens to conclude whether they are the
same species). Can you think of, or find, a real-world analogical argument?
Standard form for analogy
(1) X1s have features F1, F2, F3, … and feature Fc.
(2) X2s also have features F1, F2, F3, …
Therefore,
(3) X2s probably have Fc.
