Limitations of Treatment

People who live with long term, chronic medical conditions will often have periods of improvement and periods where the condition is worse. Over time, treatments often become less effective or less treatments are consider ed appropriate with a worsening condition and weakening state. In these situations, the person’s professional team will often support the individual by discussing the limited benefits of treatment available, what is important now, and what can be done to help them.
