Write a business report which sets out the case for an investment in IS/IT to deliver benefits to customers or service users and improve organisational performance.

You should address the following elements:
Firstly, what are the aims and context of the business strategy? (include details of appropriate policy or regulation where relevant)
Secondly, what are the strategic drivers? (include at least one of the strategic driver models e.g. Porter, IT Portfolio, PESTL etc)
Thirdly, what is the business case (including identifying and classifying the benefits)?
Fourthly, who are the stakeholders and how will they benefit? (include stakeholder mapping)
Which benefits and outcomes are prioritised and why?
What are the development needs for realising benefits and how will these be met?
Also, what sources have you drawn on to explore and understand these issues from the organisational perspective?
What lessons do you take from the exercise?

Part 2: succeeding in realising the benefits [Assesses Learning Outcomes 2, 3 & 4]
Discuss a significant challenge that you would need to address to succeed in realising the benefits discussed in Part 1. You should explore the issues involved based on relevant literature and set out how you would address the challenges within the project.
Guideline: 1000 words

You should consider the following points:
Firstly, what is the nature of the challenge?
Secondly, which stakeholders are affected and how?
Thirdly, what can the organisation do to improve capability for realising benefits from the opportunities identified in part one?
Fourthly, what explanations can you provide for your observations?
Also, what sources have you drawn on to explore and understand these issues from the organisational perspective?
