Research Question: How did the creation of jet engine aircraft benefit modern aviation today?

Thesis: Whereas jet engines do not always provide the most efficient way of travel or serve the needs of every travel instance, jet engine aircraft bring a multitude of benifits to modern aviation given that they serve unquestioned benifits in many aspects and often far out perform traditional propeller driven aircraft. From the engineering of the first jet engine in 1930 to the first jet engine powered aircraft flight in August 1939, the aviation industry has never been the same. The industry has experienced both positive and negative effects consequent of the modern jet engine, but the positives far outweigh the exponentially small negatives. Overall, the engineering of the jet engine was a huge success in the aviation industry and without it, modern aviation would not be the same as we know it.

Firstly, Write a 4-5 page research paper not including the title page or reference page. Secondly, The paper at minimum should cover the creation of the jet engine, jet engine aircraft, how they benifit and hinder modern aviation. Thirdly, Utilize atleast two primary and two secodary references. Attached in the files are my research topic, a thesis, and a few resources that could be used in the paper. Additionally, I would like a short outline if possible.
